Privacy Policy & Data Protection

Last reviewed: July 23, 2026 | Read time: 8 minutes

Executive Summary

Most formatting, conversion, and generation tools process input in your browser and do not send that input to DailyTools.uk. This is not true for every feature: the IP dashboard calls our Worker, and the Worker may use Cloudflare request metadata or the external ip-api.com service for a manual lookup. Google AdSense and other infrastructure providers also process requests under their own policies.

1 Core Privacy Principles

DailyTools.uk is designed to minimize the data needed for browser utilities. For the tools that run locally, input remains in the page's browser memory. Network-facing features, advertising scripts, hosting infrastructure, and your own browser settings can involve separate data flows described below.

Client-Side Processing

All tool logic executes in your browser using modern JavaScript APIs. This ensures data never leaves your device during processing.

Zero Data Storage

We don't maintain databases or persistent storage systems. Data exists only in browser memory and clears upon tab closure.

What We Don't Collect (Data Minimization Policy)

  • No Account Required

The site does not require an account and its tools do not ask users to submit names, email addresses, or profile information to use the core features.

  • Local Input for Most Tools

JSON, text, encoding, color, and generation inputs are processed in the browser. The IP dashboard is different: its request reaches our Worker and manual lookups may reach ip-api.com.

  • No First-Party Analytics Profile

The site does not add its own account-based behavioral profile or analytics dashboard. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention as described in its policies.

  • No Sale by DailyTools.uk

DailyTools.uk does not sell or rent tool input. Cloudflare, Google AdSense, Google Fonts, and the IP lookup provider may process requests or technical data as independent service providers under their own policies.

2 Technical Architecture & Data Processing

Our platform leverages modern web technologies and edge computing to provide functionality while maintaining maximum privacy. This section explains how data flows through our system and the technical safeguards in place.

Client-Side Processing Architecture

Browser-Based Execution

All tools run entirely within the user's web browser using modern JavaScript APIs

Local Processing

Data processing occurs directly in browser memory without external transmission

Temporary Memory

Data exists only in RAM and is cleared when tabs are closed or refreshed

Isolated Context

Each tool operates in isolated browser contexts preventing cross-tool data access

IP Lookup Service: Privacy-First Design

Our IP lookup tool is the only service that requires external API calls, and it's designed with privacy as the primary consideration:

1
Worker-mediated lookup

The current visitor view sends a request to our Worker, which reads Cloudflare request metadata. A manual IP lookup is forwarded by the Worker to ip-api.com; the result is returned to the browser and is not stored by this site as an application record.

2
Zero Data Retention

Cloudflare Workers operate with default 30-day log retention for operational purposes only; DailyTools.uk has no access to these logs

3
Geolocation Data Privacy

Location data is provided at city/region level only, preventing precise individual identification

4
Stateless Architecture

Each lookup is processed as an independent request with no connection to previous or future requests

Tool-Specific Data Flow Analysis

Tool Category Data Flow Privacy Level
JSON Formatter, Base64 Tool 100% client-side processing Maximum
Password Generator Random generation in browser memory Maximum
IP Lookup Dashboard Anonymous API call → Cloudflare Worker High
Image Processing Tools Canvas API processing, no upload Maximum
